I am looking at buying my great grandpas old 7080 that hasn’t been touched in 15 years I got it to run and drive in forward but can’t get the t handle to spin to get it in reverse. Any help would be nice

The twist is pushing/pulling a cable so you have to see why it's not moving. Probably the cable itself but you won't know till you get the tranny side disconnected.

Yup take your floor plate up and the side panel off the console and start following the push pull cable. 90% of the time it’s a tight cable. They shift easily if the cables are in going condition. They don’t last long enough though, especially if they can get moisture or dirt inside of them

What did you want to hear? You have a tractor that is over 40 years old, has sat for 15 years, you are going to have to put some money into it if you want to use it. One of the first things you will want to do, is replace the front harmonic damper.
