contact Steve@B&B, since you're south of the 49th !!
Big question is it a REAL 12 volt starter ,or actually a 6 volt unit ? Tag number will tell.
After Steve, call around for a rebuilder as NAPA are just  a 'counter'.
A proper rebuild will have all new bearings, brushes, etc.
My CA ( '51?? ) , I just needed to rebuild the push starter guts.

I just had mine rebuilt by Fort Worth Starter and Generator (and the generator).  They had no issues or difficulties getting parts or doing the work.  The labor was around $86.  The generator ran around $350 total.  I had planned on rewinding the generator, but he elected to get new parts instead.  The starter only needed some minor cleaning and bearing work.

I had my 6 volt delco starter for my CA push button switch and contact button replaced by a local repair shop for $45 last summer!

I did that myself before I sent it off for rebuild.  I also partly cleaned it up beforehand to reduce the work some.

Do a google search for "starter and alternator repair" in your town.  There are still small shops that do that.  It's where I take all of my starters and generators.
