ive been restoring my wc for about 3 years now. 2 years ago i rebuilt the engine all new everything, had the head work done and all..  no im trying to time it to get it to run, but i have no compression on number 1, i have comp. on 2,3,4 but not zip on 1...
what could be going on here? i know the rings arent lined up for sure and i checked for proper end gap when putting it together.....  any ideas. thanks in advance

Maybe pull the cover off to make sure a valve isn't stuck.
