OK, old White( MTD ) rider, full of HST oil, new drive belt, drives great on level ground. Going up 15-20* slopes it's 'jerky' or 'clunky' ( though NO noise, just wonk, wonk wonk. ) It'll go up hill just not happy or smooth. Has Hydro-gear tag 320-3000 but it doesn't show up on their website
Curious as to what 'internals' would be wore out,so I can price parts( if available).24HP B&S, 54" deck only cuts an acre of grass for 100 year old neighbour. He's the last Veteran I know . Seems a real shame to scrap the beast. Might be another 'Winter project'
Any insights are appreciated.

Jay

Like it or not, some L & G hydros are intended to be a throw-away, with no repair parts available or if they are, the cost is more than a complete new hydro. Check with whomever is a White/MTD L & G dealer who sells repair parts. They certainly should be able to tell you.
