So I’m thinking these have a special head to fit in the slots of where the dish meets the rim?

Hey Mike thank you! My neighbor had these on his D17 II and I do remember they were an odd shaped bolt. Thank you!

Dana, I made mine out of all-thread and flat stock. Might have an extra set around here if you can't find any closer to home.

I believe 1/2”. I’ll try to get dad to look. And I know we have old 1/2” square headed bolts here too. Can grind one side off. I’ll get on this tomorrow

Figures the square headed bolts I was thinking of are 3” and 4-1/2” long.

Here’s a real bolt. Measures 3-3/4” long.

I sat tire and rim between 2 milk crates and set weight onto rim, reached under and fed the ground off carriage bolts up through.

Well the nearby Amish machine shop does not work on Sundays , unlike me. If I didn’t work on Sundays I surely wouldn’t have 13K bales of hinquality hay in the barn! Anyways I used 4”:carriage bolts on Sunday morn😁

I rolled the 14 out of the shop and took pics, then rolled in the 7030. HD antifreeze as per Dr Allis , engine oil and filter changes and new manual water temp gauge will be added. Then wash and wax. And windows cleaned. Then next is the 7040 for same fluid changes and also the radiator has to come out and be fixed as per the leak in August. Dr said loosen radiator cap to see if that helped. It surely did. Started last week with a new 55 gallon barrel of hd 15-40 diesel oil. It’ll be empty by tomorrow😫. Cheers and y’all be careful with fall harvest approaching!
