Read an article this morning that Briggs & Stratton is discontinuing Simplicity and Snapper tractors. More Orange to disappear.

This is not a bad thing. Briggs & Stratton has not been kind to the nameplate at all in reference to a quality product the brand was well known for.

I see them daily, and this should have been done years ago. Quality has steadily decayed since the Briggs & Stratton acquistion of the Simplicity Manufacturing Corp. who was of course broken off from the Allis-Chalmers dissolution.

Another sad state of affairs for certain.

I have two Garden Tractors that look just a like one labeled 917, the other Simplicity.
