I have 60 ton of gravel coming tomorrow morning for a new building that I need to spread and my 190XT III is acting up. At first it would run for about 7-10 minutes and then slowly start losing rpm to the point of dieing. I could let it sit any where from 30 seconds to two minutes and it would fire back up and repeat the process. I changed the fuel filter and that improved it, but now it takes about 10-15 minutes. I checked the sediment bowls and they both had a fair amount of stuff in them, so I took them off and cleaned them up real good. Checked fuel flow on the main with the bowl off and it flowed good.

I then put both bowls back on and turned the secondary bowl on first to check flow with what was trapped in the line between the two and it filled up just fine. I then turned on the main and it acted like it was vapor locked. So I loosened the bowl and it filled up although not real quickly. I tried to start the tractor and it started right up, but died. Repeated process and same result. I then took the fuel line of running to the hand primer and I am getting no fuel flow from there. My buddy took an air hose and pressurized the tank while I watched the line. It took quite a long time before any fuel came out and then in my opinion it did not come out with the force or the volume I would think it should have with pressure behind it.

I took the return line off the pump and checked it for governor ring pieces and did not see any. I also did not see any indication of governor ring in either sediment bowl when I cleaned them out. There has to be a restriction somewhere, but where? Anyone have any ideas or had a similar problem?

Thanks,
Bill

Blow back thru the lines back to the tank and then see if fuel flows faster.
