On the WC that is being parted out below, was the toolbox on the left fender a factory placement or was it suppose to mount somewhere else? Also the "slanted" exhaust manifolds did they have a straight pipe or did they have an elbow and then stuck straight up?

From what I understand, the actual "WC" toolbox mounted inside the right frame rail. the one pictured looks like it is off a wd maybe. the exhaust was a short pipe like that with the end crushed together to mufle the sound.
