New to me 6080, was granddads old tractor, I changed the fuel filter, and bled the lines up to the injectors. Got fuel. But when you start it, it dies in 30 seconds like outa fuel. There is on the side of the injector pump a bolt on side of it, that when uou take it out fuel runs out of corse and.fire up, it will stay running, but soon as you put bolt in it dies in 30 or so secs. #1. What is that bolt for and its purpose.
Thanks

Return line on your injector pump is plugged up. Probably from the fiber disk inside the injector pump going to pieces.

probably the reason it was "parked" so long ago. Didn't feel it was worth fixing. Those pumps don't sit well in old degraded fuel either.

InjectEd how salty is a rebuild on a pump? It was running good when we picked jef it up and roaded it home about 4 mile, all we done was change fuel filter.

if it started when you changed the fuel filter, then i would start there... Sucking air ?  bad gasket ? plug in fuel line ? .... you moved the primer... maybe air leak around it ?

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

If it runs with bolt out, the return in pump is plugging up. Remove return fitting out of pump, with a small punch, drive check ball out from top to bottom. If it runs good then, time for a pump rebuild.                       MACK

All the symptoms of weight retainer flex ring going bad. A good rebuild should last another 40 yrs.
