I have a h3 with 160 engine which I have restored. I'm having problem finding an oil filter to fit at my local auto parts store (o'rilley). All the filters they have or to big at the female fitting of filter for the male fitting on filter mount. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thank you

Get away from Oreilly's would be my suggestion. They have very little in the way of items that don't move fast supporting little that is older than 20 years in age.

Find a Napa store that has been in business a lot of years and they'll still have a good database to look into and most likely source you a filter, or substitute.

I will try a napa store when I get to one. Live in the country with few options.

I'll look and get you an AC number which can be converted. Does this engine use a spin on, or canister/cartridge type filter?

So a simple spin on filter. 3/4-16 tpi base. I prefer Wix, or Napa Gold series myself over the box store, or cheaper brands.

Wix # 51515XP, or 51515MP depending upon filtration level you prefer. XP series is finer filtration IIRC.

Fram ph8-a is the correct filter. However someone had put another mount from the original and NAPA helped me out.  NAPA 1051. Thanks to everyone who replied,
