Does any one know what the hp. is for a UC with the  318?
Tractor data shows the U with the 300 made 34 hp.

Did Waukesha make the 300 and the 318?

Also what was the largest tire size on later models with 28
inch wheels?
Thanks

You have to love the UC's. So big and ugly, they're beautiful.
Continental engine 4.25 bore / 5.0 stroke / 283.7 CID 36.09 belt hp
AC's UM      engine 4.375 bore / 5.0 stroke / 300.7 CID 34.09 belt hp
AC's UM      engine 4.50 bore / 5.0 stroke / 318.0 CID ------belt hp (I don't know, but I will keep looking)

Standard rear wheel rubber tire is 11.25 R28. At additional cost, 12.75 R28 and 13.50 R28 tires are also available. Standard front wheel carries 6.00 R16 rubber tires.

I still can't find the 318 belt hp. I have seen it before and I think it was greater then the Continental's, but just barely.

Had My 1937 Allis Chalmers model UC with Allis 318 motor on the dyno at Hutchinson Orange Spectacular  and it produced  45  HP.  This Allis UC has been on our farm for 70 years and was used to power a Bell City thrashing machine and do a limited amount of field work.  I believe the motor to be a original, good condition, strong running motor.

Thanks for your replies
Unit3, I would say 37 hp. would make sense with 18 extra cubic inches.
I was curious about tire size because I made spoked 38 inch wheels for mine to tuck them over the final drives and narrowed it up to 77 inches so I could haul it on my car trailer.
I put 11.2-38 tire on it, they measure 54 inches tall so that is only about  2 inches taller than the 13.5,14.9-28. When I got the UC it had worn out 12.4-24 on it, now it has a
nice stance with the rear being 3 inches higher than the front. It looks like completely different tractor now. I had to remove the fenders they were close but would not fit over the 38s. First time I showed it I had many people stop and ask me about it, few have ever seen a UC . The ones that new them were really intrested in the 38s thinking it was a high crop. If I can figure out how to post a pic I will.

Dale, I wonder if yours has gas pistons in it or some kind of higher compression?

Back when the orange spectacular was out on the farm, I saw a UC that had cast centers like a WC. They had to be a factory part as the WC and UC have different bolthole patterns.

I think the Thompson sugar cane conversion had the cast centers with 38s
