Went to Red Power in Nebraska Friday/Saturday so had to wait until Sunday to go to Amana. Had talked to Alex about a muffler for the new to me D-15, got that, some seed tubes for the all crop drill(!), and a NOS ditching point for the Oxnard blade. I couldn't believe that thing was laying on his table. I may, (probably) never use it but doubt if I'll ever get another chance to buy one. Got some other parts from Norm M.

Met up with plumberscarin/Aaron and his accountant. Had a good talk with them. Talked to Kevin, owner of the TLW for quite awhile. Had met him last fall at a corn-picking day, great guy. He educated me a little on the TL loaders.

Didn't take a lot of pictures, here are the ones I took. I really like the 170 with semi-mount 2000 plow. It's set-up just like I would build it.

After I got back home I went about installing that muffler. The old one only had the lower bolt in it. Managed to get it moving and out, wasn't sure if that was going to happen or not. Well, the top hole had been stripped at some point, badly! Really wanted two bolts holding it, thought about taking it out to 1/2-13, not big enough! Had to go 9/16-12. Didn't even run a tap-drill through it just the tap, would guess the threads aren't more than 50% but they held. Getting the hole in the muffler skirt big enough was a bit of a challenge but eventually got there. I know I've got some carbide burrs at the farm somewhere but they eluded me yesterday. Tractor sounds so much better now than it did with that old rotted out P.O.S. that came on it.

Edit; The little tree isn't working for me right now so I guess the pics will have to wait. Will try again later.

Yep, enjoyed talking with you, Alex and Kevin. Good to put faces with names. Even some names I didn't get. Enjoyed the show and saw a tube on the WD45 diesel that supports the wire harness to the generator. Had not known about this and thought that would be a good addition to my G262 engine in my project. Lo and behold I found one in the swap meet area. Good day!

So, looked at Phil Brown's 220 there, and noticed it has 540 PTO, and the housing looked thicker to me. Anyone know the story on that? Nice looking unit for sure!

How does one get into that loader's operator position? Is there a ladder on its left side?

Didn't look onto that, don't think I'll ever get to drive one so...
