 Lol…grinding and fitting grinding fitting grinding …on the alt case in order to mount the pivot bolt as the top of the case hit the thermostat housing. Once I could get the pivot bolt in and tighten there was plenty of clearance. Plus I had to “clock” the alt 180* which was new to me. Ian and I made and mowed 3600 bales (40 lbs) this past week. | That's disappointing. I would have ASSUMED coming from D & B that it would have been a plug-n-play not needing anything. I'd be complaining if it was me. |

A "replacement for"...UPGRADE.. but not EXACTLY the same size... . Maybe one was made to INCHES and the other was made to MILLIMETERS ?  How did the TACH work out ? everything screwed together and it reads correct ? your ORIGINAL was a 10DN ...... that is the difference.. GOOD JOB !  ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

D&B equip is Excellent ............ Just a little TIGHT for this application... I would have thought SOMEONE would have told them about the interference fit since they DO advertise that this is specifically for the ALLIS tractor.....Its probably the only option with a TACH, but they could warn you that you need to "grind the corner of case". ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Finished the alt hook up…and it seems perfect. Turn on that AC and she goes to work nicely. I bought 2 so we have another spare. Oh yeah tach worked good too. ------------- Blue Skies and Tail Winds Dana |

THAT took some shoehorn grease! Nice job, Captain! ------------- Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest. |

The "DN" series case is shaped a little differently than it's "SI" cousin. Doesn't surprise me that the "SI" needed a little mod done.
