I had lunch with the ole snake charmer today. When we got back I tried to get him to get after one of my guys but he refused. I thought he had my back.

Well,,,gents,,,I been holding a qui-i-tus on this in hopes that it would just go away,,,but every one of us know full well that when you have a bunch of Construction boys working in pretty close confines,,,,,there WILL BE rumors of all kinds,,,,started by "Who knows who",,,,,,? I think I might have an inklin on who it may be tho,,,,,,,, One of the juicetricians walked up to me today and tells me in front of at least a dozen hard nosed construction boys,,,He calmly says,,,"Mr Joe, I just finished the first part of my job and wondering of you got time to go do your inspection"!!!!! Chit, all them hard nosed guys just busted out laughing long and loud,,,,chit,,,they was all in on it ,,,!!! Now,,in my defense,,,that kind of chit will get an innocent man in all kinds of meaness...cause they ain't no way any defense is gonna sound any good,,,,,, Anyone got an idee who that rumor guy might be,,,,,,? |

I haven’t had much of a chance to get on here lately. I’ve been working hard trying to keep my job. There’s a new boss in town and he’s always watching. I’m scared to stop for a drink of water.

Yeah Steve,,that was going to be my next POA,,,but the HUGE fellar that ole Thad wanted me to whup,,,,kinda took a liking to poor little ole me and tole the rest of the crew he was gonna kick em into one of the water line ditches,,,was they to keep chousin me,,,for those that don't know ole Thad,,,,he pretty good sized Hombre but now this Rusty fellar he's s friggin Giant,,,,so i'm pretty shore I be OK from here on out,,,THAT IS,,,,,unless ole Thad is wanting to play another one of them Arkansas Joksters agin me for pood measure,,,, I done 31 years under a hard hat at my work and don't want to start that chit again,,and since I always wear a straw hat during the hotter months,,,that right there is what i'll have come Monday,,,,,,,,

Friday was the start of the 3 day Memorial Day holiday all over our country but surely not any more than Eureka Springs, AR. THere are groups of beautiful Motorcycles all over town and the town really opens their doors for the riders!!!!Just a constant "Rumble" of high powered engines all over,,,,,! Well, Guys,,,as I take a glance at the calendar,,I realize it is getting real close to the June 15th departure date on my plane ticket back to my stomping grounds in New Mexico. I can say, this has been the very best trip I have ever experienced!! I got to finally meet up with an ole fellar I been talking to here for the longest,,Ole Thad Brown. Thad took time out to show me around most of the places of interest,,ESPECIALLY most of his secret eating places,,,of which there are many and I am most grateful. He just so happens to be the one that introduced me, in January, to the Lady I been spending most of my time with while here. (AND, for all you old codgers still on the hunt,,,I STILL ain't giving her name out, so DON'T ASK!! (Thad won't either) We have promised to pick up where we leave off from this trip. when I return. And I will, I have business that needs my close attention and will prodeed as needed. I also hope Thad relays to all his crew that I was raised around hard nosed Construction men and know how they like to be with new people,,,,,,while it was nip and tuck trying to explain such goings on to you know who,,,,I'm now OK and very glad how things worked out. Ha Ha ha ,,,,, Also, got to finally meet up with ole Shameless and even ole Les,,,ya'll remember Les,,,he's still in Iowa, Shameless is quite A FELLAR and a Heck of a FRIEND who will prolly give you the shirt off his back,,,,ALTHO,,I still waiting on my Chevy Allis,,,,??

Joe we’ve all enjoyed having you, ma be my crew enjoyed it too much But every one of us thinks the world of you and wants the best for you. Construction workers don’t pick on people they don’t like. Now if you’d a whooped big Rusty right out of the gate there wouldn’t have been any pickin. See I was just trying to help you out. You’re on up on lunch again, I need to get yours a time or two before you climb on that plane And that girl at the Horseshoe wants to know where the guy in charge is anyway. |

Well, Ole Buddy,,,Yes, I am back in New Mexico this afternoon as a fact of the matter. I had all kinds of issues at the airport in Fayettville as the flight was delayed 5 times in Fayetteville due to bad STORMS in Dallas as that was the 2nd leg of my trip home. All them dang delays would have made my arrival in Roswell, NM at 1:45 AM and me getting home at 2:45AM !! Just so happened my #5 Son was going to Dallas to visit my #4 Son as their two sons were celebrating birthdays in Dallas that weekend,,,, So, I had my luggage transferred to DFW and notified American I was getting off in Dallas So I did and stayed in Dalles with them til this morning when we drove back to NM. Clear as mud,,,?

CHIT JC,,,,,I just cannot seem to keep any of my secrets form youse guys ,,can I,??,,, But,,yeah,,I DO got a lot to think about,,,you know what a mess this world seems to be in annd far too many oddballs trying to tear her down. I have a friend in Washington state that thinks the world about their state,especially the weather,,!!,,,AND ,,it ain't so dang HOT up there,,,!! I have an open invitation to go visit and I may just go check out that country,,,, It was 105° yesterday when we got home and it is 106° so far this day,AND still gots several hours left to hit that 110°,,,!!!!WHEW,,,,!!!!
