Did anyone, but me,see the you tube video of the 7095 tractor that the Peterson family put together. It's got the 516 cu.in. engine from an N7 combine. 7000 series tin on an 8050 FWA chassis. Cool piece. I don't know how to link the video.

I wish that would’ve been a production tractor. They would’ve had room to grow with the 516, and we all know the troubles of the 426 at high horsepower and RPM.
I really like the look of that 7095. If I ever have an 8000 series, I may to do something similar with the sheet metal.

He didn't say WHICH PTO gearing he has with the big 1 3/4" shaft. A 7080/8070 normally has 1,000 RPM at 2550 engine RPM, whereas the 1 3/8" shaft has 1000 RPM at 2300 engine RPM's. The reason that big and heavy 516 cube engine was never used was because of COST. It was kind of an obselete engine design that by today's standards would be 650 to 700 cubic inches, instead of only 516. The 8.3/505 cube C-series Cummins is almost exactly the same physical size and weight as the Allis 426, and has power settings of 300 HP, instead of 240 which was the 426 absolute max HP number.

Dr.allis, the main big 1000 shaft has the 8070/7080 gear and shaft. The countershaft with clutch pack is still all 8050. Seeing that the 8050 has the same countershaft/clutch pack gears, one would expect the gearing to be whatever the 8070/7080 would be. Correct? Unless there is different gearing further up inside the tractor I'm missing.

That is one BAD looking AC with fat tires. Nice job on fabrication of sheet metal. Hope it stays together for them, that’s a lot of nice work and engineering.

8050 PTO and 8070 PTO gear ratios should be the same......1020 PTO RPM @ 2300 engine RPM. 7080's were the slow ones with a high idle of 2800 rpm and 1000 PTO rpm @ 2550 eng speed.

Lots of skill went into making it.
You certainly have a Wisconsin accent.
Based on my experience with a 7580 with 8.3 I’d still be nervous of the drivetrain.

the only work it gets is PTO. Not loading the drive train so I'd think it would be just fine.

I don't plan on pulling anything more than what our other 8000 series do, which is a 21 foot 490 IH disc. So the Only place she is putting the power through is the pto.

Peterson, great 7095 video- thanks for sharing. Appreciate all your effort/knowledge/detail. Engine swap projects are much more than just an adapter plate. That’s only the start. The continuance of numerous necessary obstacles or obvious improvements takes a sincere dedication to finish it. Congratulations, seems you more than finished your project. Hoping your new 7095 allows you decades of enjoyable service.
