looking at putting 9.5 x 15 four rib or diamond tread tires on front of series 1 d17d wondering if some has done this, and how it looks ? should only be 2 inch taller but that should be ok with 16.9 x 28 rears ,

That’s what I have on my series 4 and I think they look great. And they function well also. 4 rib.

On a wide front it is fairly easy to do. Find the correct offset rim and go with it. If you have a loader on your tractor, use a 3 or 4 rib tire so it will turn in the mud. Do not buy wagon rims to put on the front of your tractor. The centers of wagon rims are far lighter than tractor rims and with a big loader you will actually break the centers of the rims. I've seen it many times.

If it's not a series 4 there is a very high probability you have 5 bolt hubs which makes finding wider rims pretty tough. I had a set of 9.5Lx15's on Buick rims but they are sold.
