Just picked up 2 11-7 All-Crop drills.  Both Snap coupler.
Hope to end up with 1 working drill.
Questions.
I do not see manuals for the SC style drills.  All I'm seeing are wheel type.  Is the SC drill in the same manual?
I'm using a D-14 with oversize tires.  It appears I can extend the SC a few inches to accommodate.  Any issues with angle on the lift arms if I do this?

Thanks for any input.  Tom

I have a manual for my 72, (I believe) all-crop drill. It is snap-coupler. I pull it with a WD that has 14.9x28's with no modifications to the hitch.

how big are the tires on your 14?

The D14 has 14.9- 26 tires.

I'm soaking the bolts that attach the SC to the pole with PB Blaster now.

I'm interested in the manual.  A copy or scanned images would be helpful.

The drill has a planned use.  We recently cleared some red pine in rows.  Due to shallow and sandy soils I don't want to rip out the stumps.  Will really mess up the soil profile.  The narrow drill and tractor can pass between the rows as we start to rehab the soil.

We run a single tooth ripper along each edge of the stump row,  Then add lime, disk in to chop up more branches.  After a few years  hopefully the stumps will be soft enough to pull without a major soil disturbance.  We can pasture in the fall.

Greenfire, I looked for that manual yesterday and did not find it. I'm in the process of moving currently and everything is in a state of flux. I'll look again today, have a couple of ideas where it might be hiding.

Yes I recieved it yesterday.  It will be copied by Friday and I will send right back.

It is exactly what I needed.  Thank You so much.
An aside.  I saw your address.  I grew up in Ithaca, Danby area.  Small farm on Muzzy Road.  We moved down state when I was 14 and then I started farming with plenty of Allis and Farmall machinery.   A D14 was the first tractor I drove.  Plenty of B, CA, WD WD 45, D15 and D17s about.   Our last big tractor was a 185,  it was pretty sweet for a kid from a small farm to be able to operate.

Wow! Small world. Except for millers on east miller road, nearly all the farm ground in damby has been abandoned. Used to be small daries everywhere on south hill. Now there are three daries in the county. 7000 cows total. Maybe ten non immigrant employees among all three. Probably not a popular thing to say but unchecked capitalism isn't always goof for everyone in society

I retired as an agriculture teacher a few years ago.  Under grad was in animal science.  Watching the demise of the small farm economy of the NE and midwest has been one of my saddest experiences.   We raised about 500 hens and broilers,  had a few horses and huge gardens up on South Hill.  My Dad taught PE at Ithaca College.  We moved to Orange county for his job where there were still many Dairys,  Most of the milk went directly to NYC.  Tractor dealers, feed stores, Agway several local dairy vets.   As a farm interested kid who loved cows, horses, tractors and just plain old hard work with a purpose I had all the work I wanted.   I farmed all through HS and college.  Raised and sold dairy beef to pay tuition.  All gone now. I have been to too many farm foreclosure auctions.   It really is a hollowing out or rural America.  Same deal here with the Dairies and the fruit farms.  Consolidation and big fields and big tractors.  In my township the population triples in the summer and most of the summer folks speak Spanish.  My wife and I teach some sustainable Ag classes to wanna be homesteaders and folks that want to feed their families with known food.  We make cider, apple chips, maple syrup,  Grow potatoes, onions and a big garden,  It feeds more than us.
Manual is copied and scanned.  Send me an Email and I'll send you the scan.  Plan to drop the original back in the mail tomorrow.   Busy farming today.
