I am wanting to put a kill switch inline between the battery and coil on my WC. It has been coverted to a distributor obviously and also has had a solenoid added. Right now, I have a wire on the constant power side of the solenoid strait to the coil, is that ok, and second, can I just splice the kill switch anywhere along that wire (so one I can kill the tractor, and two so when the tractor is not running the points are not getting any juice)? Thanks for the help!

As you say, the constant power side, (or +), should have the switch, before the coil and ballast resistor if installed. There has to be a switch there to keep from burning up the points, running down the battery and stop the motor.

Here is a link to some very helpful wiring diagrams and diagnosis, not orange but work just the same. #5 will show what you need, it's only missing the solenoid but if you managed to wire one in you shouldn't have any trouble.

Yup, just a switch to open the circuit when you want it to not run. Close to run.

When you have a distributor, it is not called a "kill switch". It is an called a ignition switch.

A kill switch is used with a magneto. You must have an ignition switch to stop the engine and prevent the points from burning up. It is a simple off-on switch, toggle switch, light switch, or key switch, and gets installed between the battery and the resistor, if so equiped, or the battery and the coil. Bob
