Having a hard time shifting from low to high on an 8070. Is it an adjustment or may it need a new cable? One of them was replaced recently. It's kind of slow on the road in low range!

Take the panel up in the floor and see if the shift cable is moving the transmission shift lever freely.

On my 8050, it was kind of tough getting it out of low range, also. Learned a few tricks to it. I don't know if you realize it, but putting the clutch tight to the floor applies a transmission brake, so if you put the clutch all of the way to the floor for a second, then release it part way and shift it out of low quickly, it will usually go easily. Also, if you are rolling slowly, put your foot on the clutch, but not all the way, then shift it out of low, it'll usually come out easily. Hope this helps. Darrel

An old/stiff cable on the range shift lever can make the effort very high and hard to shift. Replace the large cable and I'm sure you'll see and improvement.

My 8030 is that way like it drags alittle, not the handiest but if I shift to reverse then the range shift works good. takes pressure off I guess.

Yes , the reverse trick helps also on our 8070 when shifting back into park.
