Tie rods finally showed up. Adjustment marks are on the bottom. Kinda crazy but I'll probably never move them anyway. Thanks

Those line-up marks are a guide but you want to measure across front and back of treads and have front about 1/4" closer so it steers right.

Have the outer end of both tie rods loose . May need a pickle fork for the inners ? One of my control arms? has some play in it . Hoping maybe a new woodruff key will fix it ? Sound reasonable to you fellas ? Thanks !

Have my old tie rods off now . Anyone have a torque number for the end nuts ? Guess you tighten them to spec and then back off until you can put a cotter pin in ? Can't find any info in my books . THANKS !!

Tighten nuts tight and if key hole don't line, TIGHTEN until it does. MACK

I would suggest that you recheck the tightness of those four tie rod end nuts after 100 hrs of use. If they start to loosen (and they will if you don't get them TIGHT) you then have the situation of them being loose and you don't know it and then you have the tapered hole wallowed out. A 1/2" impact wrench is the tool of my choice BUT, you can overdo it.

Thanks Dr Allis. Good info! Any ballpark number on how tight these castle nuts should be? Did find missing cotter pins on both inners Thanks again!!

I'm gonna guess 75 ft lbs and that is a guess. Start at 50 ft lbs and keep going up 10 ft lbs at a time and see what it "feels" like as you go.

Trying to get the 'play' out of my control arm . New woodruff key did no good , at least it only cost $4 . May need another control arm . Plan 'B' . Thanks !

Weld it on. If you need it off, grind the weld off. MACK

Don't know how loose, but I've welded a few in my day. Remove snap ring first and position the arm where you want it and weld. Something I never knew many years ago might help you. If you have a BIG torch, with a large tip or rosebud, quickly heat the arm almost all the way around as much as you can and turn it red in color. Walk away and check it the next morning and it may well be tight. I'm not talking a weenie sized torch, but one that is powerful and can quickly heat that large piece quickly.

Having no welder or big torch I replaced my control arm and spindle . Have no play in control arm now . Alex at A and W advised me to see if my woodruff key had any play in the spindle . It did , so I got good used parts from him . Good guy to deal with ! Thanks !
