Got a question about the B – C motors. When they were put together new what was the shim thickness on each rod bolt. The service manual says shims are .002 but I think the ones they sell now are .004

your right Steve.... appears someone in CHINA started cutting out .004 shims and putting 16 in a box...... Now 47 different vendors in the USA all sell the same kit..... Not much else available..............   .004 is TOO MUCH in many cases.... might have to make your own.

Either that or get the engine align bored, and rods resized. No need for shims anymore.
