I’m needing sone help with finding out if I have a 645 or 645b. Stickers say 645b there’s no serial number tags anywhere left. I’m trying to get a rear drive shaft and talked to junk yard shot him my measurements and he gave me the numbers off a 645b but the u joints would be too big for my yokes. I will add a couple pics of mine. It has the high low trans and is on the steering column, also has the the clamshell bucket. Engine serial is only tag left.

check the type of fuel pump...... your new decals have a "B"... dont see that on the original number...

The Model 645B loader described

As mentioned earlier, the original Allis-Chalmers 645 was powered by an Allis-Chalmers model 3500 6-cylinder diesel.

A change was made to the engine’s fuel system in 1972 with the discontinuance of the previously used Roosa-Master fuel injection system, replaced by a Simms system.

In this configuration the engine produced 158 flywheel horsepower, slightly up on the previous engine.

Allison provided the powershift transmission, a twin-turbine “soft-shift” TT series which gave the 645B a top speed of around 23mph (37kph).

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Cash, I possibly would have the parts you need. I have a 645 parts machine. I think my parts machine is prior to the B
