I'm curious of the whereabouts of the 7000 prototype. Would be neat to see it sometime at a show. |

Thanks. I assuming that's a family farm or family collection of tractors and could a person go see it while on a vacation. |

Don's widow had last right of refusal on all the tractors on that auction. It was a court ordered legal mess with Don's nephews. Marylin exercised her rights and bought a number of the tractors and has her own collection which I'm told includes the prototype replica of the 7000. She also still has the last Allis Chalmers tractor built, the 6070. ------------- Nothing is impossible if it is properly financed |

| There probably would be a proto 7000. And there would be proto's of the 7000 series, which was the 7030/7050. Two completely different tractor designs. |

| that picture was taken at Hutch few years ago, there was a written description on how this was done, mostly copied from the picture in Norm's book, IIRC it was built on a 7060PS tractor. the description was a couple pages, and told how the sheet metal was recreated to build this one,, it also had a for sale sign on it and was sold before the end of the show |

Whoever designed the 7000 prototype might have slanted its look to mimic the then new 4wd AC 440’s grill combined with the rugged look of AC220’s hood/rear fender lines?

I have always thought the 7000 series style was cool, and thought the 8000 series nothing special. Oh well, that's why they're opinions.

The 7000 series were out when Dad was negotiating on the 175. I was young and just there. Fell in love with them immediately. When the 8000's came out, it took me a long time to warm up to them! Now, I love how they look. Guess it's kind of like how our taste in food changes over time. |

The tractor I saw was on you tube under the orange spectacular in 2018. So if the tractor in the picture is the same one in the video of the parade then yes that's the one i was asking about. I personally like the look of it and think it would look good pulling a sled,just sayin. |
