Hey everyone,

I was hoping to find my pot of gold here in Iowa with a front weight bracket for an Allis 7000 series. I bought front weights for the 7060, but the weights don't match up with the bracket.

I went to a neighbor that thought could help me out, but his weight brackets don't match my front weight either. I wouldn't think Allis would make two different style weight brackets for the 7000 series, but I guess they do.

I having the following weights, that I need a mounting bracket for.

Here is the weight bracket that I we had at the farm.

This weight bracket seems to fit the smaller style weights as show below that the neighbor had.

I am trying to track down the bracket for the 10 weights I already purchased, and was wondering if anyone had more knowledge of the bracket that I should be looking for? I would like to buy one in Iowa if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks as always for everyone's help!

Did you actually hang your weight on that bracket ?? It will fit just fine.

When we hung the weights last fall, it was very sloppy on the bracket, and barely stayed on. We actually tried it and hung the weights on the bracket and clamped them down with end pieces, and it tried it during harvest with the grain cart. The weights didn't stay on over the end rows, and I was not going fast by any means.

That is why I was wondering if there is a 2nd style weight bracket to hang them. I am asking because if you notice in the two weights in the pictures, the cut out shapes for the weight bracket in the two weights are completely different.

I know what you are seeing and it's nothing to worry about.  Those new/thicker (90 lb) weights were made to hang on the rear of a Gleaner combine too!! so they don't use a clamping bracket but a bracket that grabs both top and bottom. The only difference in brackets is the width for total weight count. Now, when you take ten terribly rusty weights and hang them on that bracket, they probably will loosen up when used as the dirt and rust is working out of the joints and then they are loose.  Fifteen of the skinny (60 lbs) weights equals 900 lbs.  Ten of the thick (90 lbs) weights equals 900 lbs. Same weight bracket.

You need to acquire the retaining bracket for both side of the hanger bracket. The retainers go in the square holes and squeeze the weights tight together while holding them in place.

Thanks Dr. Allis and Silvershoes for the responses. What you said Dr. Allis does make sense, and I will have to give it a try again. I have both brackets sides for the weights to tighten them up. I ended up buying those end bracket clamps new from Robinson's, and I was surprised that they still sold them.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

Keep tightening the bolts every day until they stay tight.

You have the 100 lbs. weights. The small bracket holds 10 of them or 15 of the 70 lbs. My 7080 is holding 14 of the 100lbs. or it would hold 21 of the 70 lbs.
