I love my recent addition loader ! Saves my back , before me & the little wife were rolling them around by hand!!  I'm lucky the old 17 hydraulics seem to work very well! Best $200.00 ever spent, even got an original sales brochure & manual . keith so.va.Wink

We have one just like it for our D15. Haven’t had it on for a few years but it does ok for lifting and carrying things. Being a trip bucket is it’s weakness.

I took the trip bucket off & rigged up a 3 pt. hay spear to it works pretty good.

Better get some spare front rims and tires. Be careful.                       MACK

keep your bale lower to the ground until you are ready to pick it up higher.

I have a model 17 on a D17 IV.  With the change in the tractor hydraulic system (low pressure/high volume) with the series IV, I can only lift about 1,000 pounds.  Works for most of what I use it for and I like the hydraulic control on the side by the fender.  A hydraulic bucket would be nice, but for the difference in cost of the loader, I get by.  Dave
