Hello,

We have a front end loader on our 180, I believe it is a 460 model loader, don't quote me on this as I'm not completely sure. It is definitely an original AC loader.

The left front dump cylinder has begun dumping oil when the bucket is dumped (cylinder is retracting) and I'm pretty sure it's a seal gone bad.

Where can these seals be purchased? Are any special tools needed to replace the seal?

Thanks,

Erik

A few allis dealers might have them, try Baum Hydraulics in Omaha, their catalog has many pages listing seal kits for farm tractor loaders. You will need to know the loader model and cylinder dimensions. And they have seals individually.

Hey Guys,

I called our semi local Agco dealer and they can order the seal kit for $83 and change, this seems high to me but if it's the going rate I'll have to pony up. Does this price seem right to you guys? Any alternate sources that might have it cheaper?

Thanks!

Erik

Had the local AGCO dealer reseal my lift cyl. on my 400 loader and it cost under $100 parts and labor.  Lyle

Last summer I paid $20 cash at a country hydraulic repair shop for 2 sets of Chevron seals for the 2 rams on my D-15 loader.
