I had to go into NYC today for corporate budget review....

On the way home, I was confronted with one of the first models of the B pickup plow, (the one that has two straps around the plow drawbar, an adjusting crank instead of a rockshaft, and the trip feature), which was threatened with a one way ride to China...

I was in a suit, driving my PT Cruiser, and the only tools I had were a 3 lb hammer and an old cold chisel.

......I have a really nice plow now, that I brought home in pieces in the car, and the best news is that I didn't even get a bit of dirt on my suit.

They didn't think I'd really do it, BUT .... I CAN'T HELP MYSELF  !!!!!!

You might be related to my old boss Glenn. He could wake through a forge shop, climb around on a drop hammer for an hour and not even get the bottom of his shoes dirty. I found a pick-up plow at a flea market with nothing but the moldboard and the beam and they guy might have traded for a 1943 copper penny. It will end up in somebodies flower garden some day.

Don't try to fight it...there's no 12 step program for us. You would have kicked yourself for a long time if you didn't grab it when you did.

Way to go Glenn!!!
I would do the same as you I had been in your shoes. Only difference (I'm guessing) is I couldn't possibly let anyone at work know. They hate plow heads here and if I even mention the word tractor I could be let go. Now it sounds like you need to travel more prepared from now on.

Nice find, Glenn.   My company makes us run rental cars on all trips now.   I have to remember to go for the van when I have a choice.

Nice find Glenn. Charlie, I am the opposite of your ex-boss. I can walk within 6' of anything greasy or dirty, and it will jump on me. Kinda like static cling for dirt.LOL! Did I mention i've been working in a foundry the last few days? My wife hates me!LOL!

I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!
