I have a 1950 WD and it seems pretty healthy. I bought a 3 -14 snap coupler plow for it...will it pull it all right in central Iowa?

I dont know about Iowa, but a WD does good with a 3 X 14 in Ohio.

Don't know central Iowa land but I pull 3-16 with my WD in SE ND, pulls good in second but usually just go in first as it is just for fun with our club and that speed keeps up to everyone else.

Growing up in east-central IN we had a WD and D-14 and pulled 3-14 SC plows with each and they did great.

In heavy sod I sometimes had to remove a bottom to maintain enough speed to keep the furrow turned over.  In land that was previously cropped you won't have any trouble.

Growing up in eastern Nebraska we had a 3-14 plow and it handled everything ok. The only problem with the plow  for the WD was that it did not have enough clearance and  that in heavy corn stalks the field trash sometimes it would plug it up.
