Were the WF rear wheel centers all different than the WC or is this difference just because my WC is a 1944 and the WF is a 1950.  The casting numbers have a different dash number.  The WC casting number is AM-3082-8 and the WF is AM-3082-18 (could be -10 I couldn't see it very well).

The difference is easy to see, the gap between the rim and the hub between the wedges is much wider on the WF.  One can easily slide their fingers through but on the WC there is very little gap.  Also the dimples on either side of the valve stem are quite large.  Does someone have a late WC with centers like the WF or an earlier WF with centers like the WC?

Tom

The 1949 wf that I have has one piece steel rims.and wheels. Think they are correct for this tractor.

I thought the one piece wheels were from 1937-1939 WC's.?

The one peice stamped steel rim was used on wf  # 204 - 1903 and all wf industrials.  I will see what rear wheels are on my wf tomorrow.

Now that you mention it I do remember reading that some of the unstyled had them. I don't think I've seen an Industrial WF.

My 1948 WF has one piece steel rims too. My 1948 WD has two piece wheels like the second set. The one piece are 24" and the two piece are 28".

Now guys, you have me wondering, what makes an inderestial besides tire size?

Chris all WD's should have power shift wheels . The solid cast centers Tom shows have 6 hole centers, the WD has 8 hole axle flange no way they would fit unless adapter was used.

So it looks like no WC's ever had the rear center like my WF, but it may just be an updated center after the WC was no longer being made.  The parts book I have is for WC and WF and it doesn't show any different centers for the cast hub like this.

I looked at my 49 WF, has same centers as yours, never looked that close before, just a thought, maybe when the WC ended they changed because they didn't need near as many and maybe an outside supplier.

My WF has the cast hubs as your pic.  There are 5 WF's at the local wrecking yard and they all have the same cast hubs except for one which has 24" one piece steel rims. I always thought they were combine wheels. ???
