As in they are hard to find. 1st,2nd and reverse no problems. But 3 & 4 you have to hold your mouth ju-u-ust right.Maybe hold up on the shifter just a mite to get it to engage. No issues once you're in gear and underway. But what a pain.

It is only 70 years old and has been shifted a lot of times. Sounds like a lot of ware In top and gear shift. The gear shift wares the bottom off, ball wares along with socket ball sets In. Slot and pin and pin hole also gets slotted. Slotts in rail slots get worn.             MACK

Thing is, it's tight, not loose going into 3rd or 4th. Not sloppy at all.
