Just curious. I bought a 6 furrow, hyd reset, 2000 series AC monoframe plow. I also have the manual. In the manual it shows the pressure gauge on the non pressurized side of the valve when you have the valve OFF which is how you keep it. Why wouldn't they put the gauge on the pressurized side of the valve so you could always see if you have hydraulic pressure in the system. For those that understand the principles but don't know the plow-there is an accumulator (oblong tank) charged with dry nitrogen. On the other side of the rubber bladder in the accumulator you have the hyd system-oil in the tank, then a feed to the cylinders, then a shut off tap, then a gauge and then a hyd adapter to connect to your tractor to charge the system. You have about 800 psi on the nitrogen side (factory charged-never need to touch unless a leak), and around 1000 psi hyd pressure charged from your tractor system periodically. Why couldn't you have a pressure gauge before the tap-what am I missing? It's likely obvious but not to me.

No reason I can see either,I would be more concerned about my N charge than anything else because without it being correct an accumulator pressureized with oil only will not do much work. I deal with bladder type hydraulic accumulators every day as a hydraulic tech in a
steel mill-we generally top off the N charge a couple of times a year-
