Everything I have read so far says the only difference between a D14 and a D15 series 2 engine is the bore size. Am i correct in this? Wanting to use a D15 (160ci) rebuild kit in a D14 (149ci) block. Will this work or am i missing something?

160 has a bigger carb, hi idle is 2000 rpm , i think different intake manifold...

the kits say ...." for SN 9000 and above"...

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Maybe could be done BUT, the sleeves won't fit in the block because they are larger O.D. So, you might be able to bore the block, but the cost might keep you from doing it. Also, the connected rods are different as the piston pin diameters aren't the same.

WON'T WORK without a lot of costly machine work. The 160 sleeves have a larger OD than the 138/149 sleeves.
The only difference in the manifolds is the series II has a threaded exhaust port as apposed the the series I which is smooth.
Send me a PM with your email if you want more help in BIG power from little engines. I have a NOS 160 block available.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY
