I'm starting to look for replacement tires for our hayrack. When I picked it up last year it had 205 R 70 / 15 or 215 R 75 / 15 tires. What information can you help me with on replacing the tires with the correct one for this rack. Any help would be great on this question.

If your talking about multi rib implement tire I would guess a 7.60 X 15 or possibley even 9.5L x 15 depending on your rim size, but hold on to your wallet.

All the new running gears I have ever seen setting on the lot never had tires on them.JP

I'm with Jack, If the dealer didn't order the wagon gear with tires mounted on the it then they came without them. Danny, put a tape on the wheels and post the width of them.

Looks like 7" x 15" rims, I found a tire like this on the internet, I don't know if I should stay away from radials. How do I know if the rim with a tube is good for 50 psi?

First question to answer is how much load do you plan to carry and how fast. How heavy is the empty gear and rack? The sum of the two divided by 4 gets you the minimum tire load rating needed. Tires handle more load at low speeds but also handle more load with greater air pressure up to the limit the tire is good for. Are the rims air tight, so you can use tubeless or are they porous so they must have a tube? Then what are you willing to spend on the tires? New tires might last 5 years, but likely you aren't going to wear them out. Take offs will last until they are 5 years old, then likely will fall apart. Each tire width has a preferred rim width but will work OK on a rim an inch wider or narrower. Radial tires roll easier than bias ply tiers. Radial car and truck tires are reputed to have less lateral stability and so allow a trailer to wander. I have 8 copies of a Titan ST205-75R15 on two trailers and their spares that trail beautifully. ST stands for special trailer and may hint at being a little stiffer to reduce lateral instability.

And the rims need a load rating to exceed the load applied. I was at a custom ag rim shop last week and the boss told me that the varying load rating was from the strength of the wheel center, that the rim part was the same for all load ratings.

So probably pick a tire size and see what you can find take off and second hand in the local tire shops and gather that collection and run.

My AC running gear brochure states the 505 comes with 14x5,15x5,16x4.50 ....5 bolt hub....tapered roller bearings. HTH Tracy Martin

I don't know what size your hayrack is but say for example you can get 60 - 70 lb bales on it, thats 4200 lbs, and say the empty rack weighs 1100 lbs, the total would be 5300 lbs, divided by 4 would be 1325 lbs carried by each tire. So the 2090 maximum load capacity of these tires would be more than enough. You'll have to do the math on your actual rack. As others have said you may by able to replace the tires you have with another set of used car tires if their maximum load capacity is high enough.
