When will people learn that snakes are NOT pets....

Quote He said after entering the house, the officers encountered a family member who guided them toward the male owner, who was lying unresponsive, choked by the snake's midsection. The snake totaled at least 15 feet in length, he said.

The guy died later that day in the hospital........

The coroner said the snake was a “boa constrictor” type. Jeremy Rios Griffin of Delaware County, a friend of Senseman’s who met him at Kutztown University in 2016, said it may have been a reticulated python, which is the world’s longest snake and one of the types Senseman raised. The weight of the snake that killed Senseman isn’t known  https://www.livescience.com/largest-python-in-florida-found" rel="nofollow - but an 18-foot python captured in Florida in June weighed 200 pounds.

Rudy Arceo, who in 2017 founded the Schuylkill County-based  http://venominstitute.org/" rel="nofollow - Venom Institute , said education and safety are key for residents who keep pet snakes.

“Reticulated pythons are really pretty — they have different morphs,” Arceo said Monday. “So, people buy them for the different colors and patterns. And when they buy them, they’re like 17 inches, 18, 20 inches. ... And then they take it home, and this thing grows 7 feet the first year or year and a half.
