Very few ‘remakes’ are worth the time.
Did this particular movie keep the same title as the original?

I agree with Lars...the movie makers must be hard up when they think they can make an old movie new! kinda like everything else we buy...it's new and un-inpproved but costs more!

Remakes....Cheaper by the dozen with Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, etc., was a good remake.  It can happen!

It all depends on the director... some are good, some are not.  Flight of the Phoenix wasn't half-bad, but it would have been better if they hadn't taken such extra liberty with some of the 'drama-enhancement'.

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

I thought the new true Grit was good. Maybe not better than the original but good.
That’s the only one that comes to mind.

Depends on how old you are, I like the original Walking tall trilogy. Young people don't remember it. First Footloose.

Hollywierd an't making movies that are aimed at an audience, anymore.  they are just making them to impress themselves as to how woke they are!  One of my favorites is Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Jason Robards, Jack Elam, Claudia Cardinale and a score of others, in Once Upon a Time in the West. Never been re-made, probably couldn't, now.  No place for queer kisses!Hug

I enjoyed Fonda and Stewart in Cheyenne Social Club!!  Loved the Funny Movies.

Most of the old classics could NOT be made today as would spin Woke Heads!!!

They made a sequel to outlaw Josey Wales. It flopp even though the original was the best there’s ever been.

Watched that movie for the first time a couple nites ago. Henry Fonda portrayed a complete a-hole from start to finish.
