I am at work and dont have Norm's book at hand, but what were the differences between the 780 and 782 chopper? I know the 720 had a smaller cylinder.....

Very little was changed. Mainly the discharge spout and the spout base. Heads all interchange between both. The 782 might have had different gathering chains on the cornhead. Tom

   Howdy Don,
I had a 782 and restored the whole thing. I remember something about the discharge chute. It connected higher up then the 780 and also painting it the chute was a little different  too. Boy could that thing eat corn. Bigger the tractor the better. I started with a D15 and ended up with running it with a 185.
