Some of you may remember my problems last fall after the Rantoul show. Thought I had a busted crank but it ended up being all the bolts came out of the flywheel holding it onto the crank. My mechanic said he'd never seen anything like that before and he's been around AC tractors for over 40 years.
Had the following work done (some @ machine shop & some by my buddy):
Grind crank .020
Grind flange on flywheel
New cam bearings
New rod & main bearings
New rings
lap valves
New pilot bearing
New oil filter
all new fluids
new/rebuilt water pump
New air cleaner hose (check the bottom side of yours!)
Carb kit
New plugs, points, and condenser
I think I'm ready to try plowing again.

That looks alot like my plow! Can I see some more of it? Im in the process of tidying it up a bit before it hits its first plow day in Oct. Can you still get wear parts for those plows?
Looks good otherwise! Reminds me alot of my 45, just mine is wide front.

The plow parts I got came from a "donor" plow; I didn't check into any new parts. For some reason I can't get my other pictures to upload. Sorry.

Maybe another time then! So I take it you added the tail wheel on after and it was a mounted plow before? I see that the bracket the beaming screw attaches to is fixed, where mine floats so it wont lift the rear of the plow at all without the cylinder on the tail wheel. Do you need to keep the sway chains pretty tight to keep it from swinging into a tire?
Also noticed you have the transport valve on the tractor. Is it necessary? I have one for mine just havent bothered to install it yet as some of the lines from the donor tractor would not come around to my way of thinking. If its possible could you send me some pictures of that valve and where the lines go so I have a clue as to how to install it? Love the idea of the stopper for the rams. I think I may have to make one up for mine!
Glad you got it running again. Im just trying to get mine fine tuned for its first plow day in about 2 weeks so thats why I'm bombing you with questions. Would love to see some more pics of the plow since there are not too many around anymore with the tailwheel. Most survivors are all mounted. I like semi mounts better. My 45 likes to do wheelies and steers like a mack truck with a mounted plow on it.
Heres mine (still tinkering with it so its not all together yet)
