HELLO
LOOKING TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE HAS THE GEARS AND PTO SHAFT TO CONVERT A 190XT FROM A 1000 TO 540 PTO.
WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS INVOLVED IN DOING THE CHANGE OVER, WOULD THE TRACTOR NEED TO BE SPLIT OR CAN IT BE DONE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TRACTOR? THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Do you mean from a single 1000 to a 2pd 540/1000?  On my 7000, it is 1000 rpm coming back to the lift housing, then that goes to the inner hub (the 1000 rpm hub where the PTO shaft bolts on) and there are gears in the lift housing that gear down the 1000 to a 540 and drive the outer hub (the 540 hub where the PTO shaft bolts on).  Seeing the 7000 and 190xt share the same basic rear end design, I would think this would be how the 2spd PTO would also work on the 190xt.  If you want to go to a straight 540, not sure, but would guess that has to do with the gears in the torque tube.

A couple of questions need to be answered.
Is it a hydraulic or Mechanical PTO?
There was a 540, 1000 and a the 540/1000 pto offered.
The 2 speed pto used the 1000 rpm gears up front.
A change over on the single speed involes changing 2 gears, the one in the pto housing and the idler gear. No split involved. Just remove the pto box. The number of gear teeth are differant depending on the serial number of the tractor.
The 2 speed pto used a differant lift housing and the output bolts to a flange,
