Looking at a 6 row 330 air planter; I know a lot of the parts must be obsolete but it's in good shape.

Couple of questions;

In general is there enough parts availability to keep it serviceable? Bearings, coulters etc...?

Are the individual row units called a different number like 71,72 or something? Trying to piece together the info.

The planter plates; they available anywhere?

Thanks, Matt

330 is the frame type. The units will have a number based on the series.

I had a 330 for a few years.  It had 78 air champ units on it.  the operator's manual covers 78 and 79 units.  it was in good shape but I was able to find some minor parts I needed thru a local dealer.  I was able to buy some milo seed disc's too.

To answer your question - some seed discs are some are not available - many used ones out there - we have some.  The desirable med/small corn discs are in short supply.  Yes chains, openers and brgs should be able to be sourced oem or ingenuity..  The KEY to this planter is air pressure - one hs to have 2 + Water Column's of air pressure.  Get a manometer gauge and check it before you start planting.  The 77 series units had flat chains - the later 78 series have roller chain drives.   Seed pads are expensive and are mandatory to be in good shape for accurate planting.

I've had a 330 for about ten years- bought from the original owner. I've replaced the seed sensors (about $190 each as I recall) and seed pads (don't recall the $) through AGCO. I had bearings go bad on a row marker and for whatever reason the ones I got through AGCO weren't correct but I was able to get bearings that work from a local bearings shop. I was able to get new rubber press wheel tires through ME Miller.

Way easier to get parts for the 330 as compared to my All-Crop drills.....
