Hi guys,
Just had the carb rebuilt and the gas tank sealed for my CA. Now I need to reassemble. Any tips, products or recommendations so that I end up with a leak free assembly?
Thanks
Tom

Clean female pipe threads with a tap just enough to get varnish and hardened residues out of threads. You don't want to take any metal out of the holes. Clean the male pipe threads with a wire brush. Teflon tape seems to work best with gasoline and if you shop you can find it in different thicknesses. Take care to start the tape on the second thread so no slivers of tape get in the fuel system. They will float around and stop up small orifices. Some recommend against tape for this reason but done with care it seals up the imperfections better. In My Opinion.
