The original alternator finally gave out yesterday. It is a Wilson model, I took it off, took it to Napa and they said $1,057 to replace it. After looking, they had a $90, 1 wire alternator with the same configuration and a 94 amp rating. Not complaining, just wondering why the Wilson alternator is so high? Put the Delco on this morning, ran anhydrous all day without any problems.

$1000. is crazy.......... too many good aftermarket units for $100. - 150.

Sounds like Napa has to pay the rent this month. Sheesh! Ya did good Leon grabbin' the SI series Delco. Wire it up as a three wire, and you'll be able to take advantage of the voltage sense circuit which monitors current usage. This also keeps the whole system in 13-14V's on board the Tractor so all components get fed the same amount of current. Most one wire units can be wired over to a three wire system.... More better!
