| My neighbor gifted me a to30 ferguson tractor that has been sitting in excess of 20 years. The tires were new when parked as in the mold lines around tires are still there. My question is what can be done to seal cracks so they are not noticeable ? Tractor will only do shows and occasional joy ride around neighborhood. |

gee, maybe some of that 'flexseal, as seen on TV' ?? some 'rubberized undercoating' ?? windshield urethane ?? probably want the tire to be washed with soap/water/dry and warm before applying anything.... ------------- 3 D-14s,A-C forklift, B-112 Kubota BX23S lil' TOOT( The Other Orange Tractor) Never burn your bridges, unless you can walk on water |

| Check with a Tire Shop as to Vulcanizing Liquids. Cracks seem superficial yet the elastomer suspension volatiles have vacated and allowed the rubber to shrink then crack, that exposes the cording under that skin. Tires will be hard where if use it pretty hard or in harsh conditions tires could fail. Recappers here will not accept 6 year old carcasses due to that. |

| Bowes used to have a product for that use. Danged if I can remember its name. Its in a tube about 1.5" x6" comes with a screw type caulking gun. I don't know if they still make it. It sorta gets hard when exposed to air but it stays flexible like the tire. |

I ussally spray them good with Armorall and it softens the rubber and stops cracking

Well,,I seriously doubt if this will work but I remember a move bout 20 years or so bout an older gentleman from New Zealand that brought an old Indian motorcycle to Bonneville to try and set a world record,,,,The MC tires were so cracked that the officials would NOT allow him to even practice for fear of him hurting himself,,,,,Well, that night some other racers walked up on him using shoe wax to stuff into the cracks and by golly they looked pretty good,,,,,
 The other racers took up collections and bought him some new tires,,,,I think it was a true story and he did set a record for Fastest Indian in the world,,, , |
