I ordered 4 Yokohama 255/70x17's earlier this week. Their quite a bit heavier than the Generals that came on it, Wider too, look like a real good All Season tread. But the dang things was about $750.00 for 4 of them and I mount and balance them here at home. Got them before they went up another 20 bucks each. Now I got's to get 4 265/75X16's for old Red. Old BFG's getting quite a few years on them. If we didn't have to pull this dang trailer/skid loader around I wouldn't bother changing them.

I have the Yokohama Geolander ATS on my truck.  Best tires I've ever had.

I put Hercules on my F250 last year and quite happy with them.  Not too aggressive for making noise ride well and great traction on snow.  Price was THE Shocker but were all I could get at the time, just over $1000 for the four.

I actually first selected the Hankhook Dynapro AT tires but when I went to pick them up they didn't come in on the truck so the shop offered me the Yokohama tires at the price of the Hankooks.  I had previously considered the Yokohama but the higher price at this shop put me off.

The two tires are very similar.  I think either of them is safe and an excellent choice.

What would it have cost to have your "local" tire shop source the tires AND mount/balance them ???  I do some work for a homeowner that will LITERALLY spend $10 to save $3 ConfusedLOLLOLLOL !!!!

Don't you have a tire machine and balancer in your shop? Not that hard to change tires and check brakes while the wheels are off, Why pay some clown in town to do it.

I will be in need of at least two tires for the suburban before mid-summer, will be checking to see if the particular size I need is Made in USA. Cooper has some that are, the 4 we put on my wife’s Honda were.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

for those using the YOKO tire, is this the tread pattern you got ??  And "road noise" is minimal ?  I probably do 90% on the road, and 10% off road...

i have KUMHO tires on my 1 ton 4x4, they are great wearing tires on hard surface, but suck on gravel roads. can't remember what we put on the newest burb, but they bite good, long wearing and are also quiet, they look like the one in the pic above.

UPDATE:  After searching around it appears the A/T-S version is not available. Confused
