I know the RC's are rare and I found one that has been completely restored and looks SHARP!! Guy said it had only been sitting and taking up space. I don't think $2,700 is bad if there was really only 4,000 made.

I have had several, they are a fun  tractor, if the pic is the one looks like all rims are incorect, the front should be 15" the rears are of a W patrol it looks like to me but the price sounds good anyway

According to Swinford 5501 RC's built from 1938 to 1941. I have 2 of them.

There are a lot of them around, but not a lot of those you see have all the unique to model RC original parts on them. If it's not complete and original it's just a parts tractor as far as I'm concerned.

"has been restored" means different things to different people too. A decent paint job could be one guy's idea of a restoration. Without knowing what was actually done to restore it I would have a hard time saying that was a good price. A correct police restoration might include hard to find rear wheels or maybe engine work, bearings and seals in the rest of the tractor????

The correct wheels and fenders for the RC are very hard to find. It seems fenders didn't last long. both my RC's are origional but had spray can paint jobs years ago. I like origional tractors but when they are painted they are no longer origional.

I'm with you, AC37.

An RC, while not ultra rare, is something you don't see every day.

The 9" wide rear rims are hard to find too,as is the odd sized steering wheel.
