For all that like to buy stuff via the internet,,,here is a scammer action that almost got me,,,,,( It pays to be Cheap sometimes)

 Yesterday, I got an email from a "Geek Squad"  that they were going to charge me $399.99 for a one year renewal of their service,,,!! 

 I "HAD" used their services LAST year for a computer issue and their chg was $19.00 for a ONE time credit card charge.

  

 Now, I called these dudes and I told the guy I wanted to CANCEL whatever charge they wanted,,,he said OK and wanted my passwords to my PC and said that he would show me how to gp into my files and DELETE whatever charges they had against me,

I told him NO FRIGGIN WAY I would allow him remote access to my PC and he tells me ,,"that is the only way to cancel this account,,and it has to be done on MY computer,,,??

 I called my bank to be alert,and bank person tells me this the latest SCAM action and they are getting lots of calls from their  customers,,AND several customers fell for these AZZHOLES Story,,,,,

 I kept asking the dude which credit card he was refering to and he did NOT have the CC number just my name and Email address.!!

 BE very careful, Guys,, cause the dude had a very convinceing story and it flat sacred the chit outa me at first,,,,,,

gee DJ, someone's running THAT scam ,again....sigh.

Actually it is important to disable 'remote access' on your PC as it'l keep 99.44% of them away.

For giggles, I kept one of 'them' on the phone for almost a 1/2 hour. i talked real  slow, repeated everything he said, told him to speak up I'm kind deaf(that's true...),could hardly keep myself from belly ache laughing....

At the time I was waiting for a huge program to compile and wondered ok, just how LONG can I keep this guy busy ? I figure 5-6 people didn't get bothered by him,that day.

Never EVER give out ANY info over the phone. Most 'surveys' ARE Phishers, getting bits and pieces of YOUR 'profile'. Once they get enough, yer in trouble.

When a 'surveyor' call, I ask 'how much are you paying me ?' After the blank stare goes away, they say zero, i say well you get what you pay for... or...when I really have nothing better to do, answer questions that make no sense.
