P.T. Barnam was right......
Now IF you wait long enough, price WILL drop lie a rock.
Inventory COSTS a business real money, every month it ONLY makes money when SOLD.

I hope they are field ready for that price, when I say field ready, drop a pin, hook up the PTO shaft and go to the field, maybe some greasing.

I don't think it's the implements being greased

I do not know how they ever sell anything. They are way overpriced on everything they have. They have a rough Deere 237 mounted picker at $2995 and plenty of other overpriced items. Every few years they have an auction and just dump a bunch of rusted up junk. They were a Deere dealer untill they lost the contract. Tom

Maybe they are just misplacing the decimal point LOL  $29.95 sounds about right for a rough mounted 237 picker

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Asking prices on tractor house has long been known as wishful.    Hard to go up in price but easier to go down.

Not to take away from your post, but just last evening on a different site was a gripe about T/H and the new format. IMO, you're lucky you got the info that you did, THEY RUINED the SIMPLICITY of a "DECENT" navigable site OuchThumbs Down !!

I never could navigate Tractor House completely.                MACK

4 months ago it was as simple as navigating on "here", if you had trouble then, you will NOT like it now (I don't)

‘Asking’ and ‘Getting’ price are two different things.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

How long ago did they change the Tractor House site?  I went on it back in. . . October to comparison shop prior to an auction.  Didn't notice anything.

X-2!!! Last time I was on there it took forever to find anything! Probably won't go back as I've never bought anything on there and the asking prices are generally insane.

Piqued my curiosity so I went on.  Ya, that pretty much sucks.  Almost like, if you fill out the search from the bottom up it helps some, then put in your zip code to get close by.  But still, yeah, worked better before for sure.

Yeah, I would think if you know what you're looking for, wouldn't be bad at all.  The casual browsing is too vague now it seems.

Personally, I like it. Once I figured it out, the search can be as broad or as narrow as you want.

Could be.....I spent all of 2 minutes or so on there.  I'll do some digging and see what's what.  But, you could easily do a broad or narrow search before, so?

I did figure out the search function and get the results I was looking for but the old site was easier.

It was and still is.
The Ag business folded in 1985. Parts of the company continued on.

Why would you even go there knowing their pricing?      Leon

Tractorhouse doesn't price or sell anything.  They are a nationwide classified section where private parties and dealerships advertise in.  Key word: Advertise as in ASKING price as in "let's start here".  If you shop around enough, you can get an idea what the market is and go from there.  If you find it on Tractorhouse, fine, if not, fine.

When (if) you yourself sell something, be it on the side of the road, the newspaper, or online, do you "ask" your bottom or one and only price you would sell it for?  Sure, some people do it that way, but I don't think most do it that way.

I sold a combine on Tractorhouse several years ago.  Got my asking price and the guy was happy as all get out!  So not all prices are too high apparently.
