Can you use the serial number to look up an engine somewhere online? Thanks.

No records were kept of that. You can generalize baised upon tractor number with certain engines. but the futher up you go in any tractor the more you can be off because of power units not used in tractors.

this will look like a BAD link when you click on it... several lines below that is says "here is the document"... click on that....... He has tried to match tractor numbers, engine numbers and years for various Allis tractors.

when you get to the ALLIS B page, you can click on "SN MAIN PAGE" or "HOME" below the title and go backward to other pagers..

There are also casting numbers that can get you close and some casting date codes, at least for some models. What model are you researching?
