Core brand made in Montana. Wondering if I could put a blade on mine and use it to cut of those dang 2' to 3' cedar trees coming up on what used to be crp. Anybody else try this?

we sell the core brand it has been bought by cub kadet , mtd it is a good quality unit. over the years the warranty work has been minimal but is still made in montana but i dont think think it would come close to having the power to do that . i use a 8 inch round blade in the fall with ours because it cuts the tumble weed stems better that the trimmer line

i never had the Core brand, but had Echo, and had a steel saw blade on it, worked well on lots of growth.

I don't know what brand it was, but my neighbor was using a battery operated snow-blower today. As we got 'lucky' with 7 inches of WET HEAVY stuff, it was doing a pretty good job of getting rid of the 'pretty'. I was surprised. Next time I'll ask what kind it was. I have no idea how long the battery lasts or will last, but it worked very well.

I got lucky. New renter sent one of his hired men over with his big ol skid loader. The man pulled every one of those dang cedar trees and dug a nice hole and buried the brush pile.

re: 40v weedwacker. I KNOW the Ryobi ones fail if you try to chop wet grass. Have TWO here(one has 6 hrs on it), $40 motors, poofed.

I had a look online at those battery blowers(looks like one Chinese place makes them).....took some digging and math, but you probably can get 30-40 minutes of reasonable use before you drag it back into garage for the 2-3 HOUR recharge. Info is kinda deceiving...you NEED 2 battery packs to get advertised 'runtime',which ,if you can read the microfont sized small print, is based on 4" of 'light,fluffy' snow. probable sales market are intown greenies with 1 car garage and 30' long sidewalks.

Also, 'did the math' (bored here...). A 2022 F150 Lightning, base battery, will NOT get wife to her sisters place,about 250 miles away ! Even less if she has A/C or defrosters on,lot less if she's haulin 500# of 'stuff' in the pickuo 'box'.

Would expect a FREE Solar Charger and extra batteries with those 40v weed whackers.

I use a cordless sawzall with coarse tooth blade to cut those cedar trees - then give them a good dose of Tordon!

We don't have cedars here but lots of Russian olives in the fence. I carry a 6" 36 volts chain saw. I carry a spare battery but have never needed it. I cut about 100 1 to 2" diameter on a charge. It fitts in the Polaris tool box the only down side I need to carry a small oiler bottle since it has no self oiler. I keep a 3 oz bottle with a flip open spout in my pocket give a couple drops before each tree.
