The Bluetooth for the phone on my 2013 F150 only works when it wants to. I have tried removing the fuse, disconnecting the battery, and resetting it with the buttons but no luck. When it does work it connects with my phone as it should. Any suggestions other than replacing the radio?

Does your phone 'see' the truck as a bluetooth 'device' ?
Depending on the phone/OS, you may have to TELL the phone to KEEP 'seeing' the truck.
Maybe try someone else's phone ?

Fix-Or Repair-Daily LOL Wasn't life so much easier before most everyone became so dependent on these type of things? In the 70s & 80s I travelled all over the east and never knew what GPS was, nor did I have a cell phone. All I had was a phone number and a town. I always found where I needed to go.

My phone "sees" the truck just fine. The Bluetooth just works intermittently. If it is working, it works until I turn the truck off, then it may not work again for numerous starts. I can do without it, I just don't like having something that doesn't work.

Hubert, it might not help, but you  might REBOOT and start over and reload the phone.. See if any steps are missing .... since it works part time, this probably will not help... might be INSIDE the radio as you said.

Does the radio always act as the Master, the phone has gotta be a slave.  Also you may try just turning the truck to ON and let them connect and then start it.  If you go to start too fast they may not have a chance to connect and then can't once the truck is running.  Just a couple of random thoughts.

Have you noticed if it works when the phone is plugged into recharge?
At work, we have ‘Big Road’. And it will alert us if our phones are not plugged into recharge, even if our phone battery is 100%

Hubert, I have a 13 F150 also and my phone has always worked fine. I would first try telling the truck to forget the phone and do the same on the phone, then start over with adding a new device on the radio menu. If that doesn't work try rebooting the Sync computer, should be in the owner's manual I can't remember how to get to that right now. There has been one software update for the Sync system also since they were new, I don't know if it's still available if you don't have it.

My 94 seems indifferent to my cell phone but seems to get excited when I put in a new cassette tape. Just fickle I guess.
