I broke another plow today its a 5 bottom Allis trip bottom. I beginning to think a 7080 shouldnt ever be hooked to a plow but any ways this is the 2nd plow Ive busted. My question is the hydraulic reset plows Allis made have any more clearance for plowing stocks than the older plows? Did Allis ever make a high clearance plow?

Hydraulic reset AC plows must have had more clearance, because I don't ever remember any of my family complaining on their old 3000 series 6 x 16's. 18 inch bottoms would be even better. Moldboard plowing is to be performed at 4 to 4.5 MPH, so maybe you need to shift down a couple of gears with the 7080 ??????????

I agree Dr I was having trouble with my draft control not working and that plow would burry its self at times and the 80 couldnt even tell it was back there hit a big rock I was done for the day

Look at a Kverneland plow.
They won't break. I have a 5 bottom and the 8070 mfd has all it wants.
